Mabroum

About the family

Mabroum is built on a strict modular grid — every stroke, counter, and gap resolves to the same unit. That constraint is what gives the family its architectural quality, and it also makes the letterforms predictable when they are scaled to environmental sizes.

Where it works

This is display type. It is drawn to be set large — above roughly 48 px on screen, or 24 pt in print — where the squared joins and tight counters read as deliberate rather than cramped. For running text, pair it with Alyamama.

Titling alternates shorten the ascenders and descenders for settings where vertical space is constrained, such as a single-line masthead or a spine.
