Overview
About the family
Firjar takes its name from the Arabic word for compass, and the naming reflects the design philosophy: flexibility and balance. The concept is drawn from the compass’s own capabilities — the letterforms are built from quarter-circle curves combined with clean straight lines.
The result is a Kufic-inspired, minimalist family that covers Arabic and Latin in parallel, with both scripts drawn to the same geometric logic.
Widths and weights
The family spans a wide range of styles — from condensed to expanded widths, and from Thin to ExtraBold. That range makes it versatile across bold headlines, branding, user interfaces, editorial design, and display work.

Five named widths (Condensed, SemiCondensed, Regular, SemiExpanded, Expanded) combine with eight weights for 40 static cuts, or a single variable file that moves continuously through the whole space.
